Course: The Art of Brokering Knowledge

On 5 May 2021, the GSPI team gave a course on the the Art of Knowledge Brokering. Based on academic and grey literature as well as our practical experience, we gave a 45-min lecture on how to produce, synthesise and disseminate scientific knowledge in a way that is policy-relevant and geared towards social impact.The lecture covers the following topics:

1. Reconciling science and policy
2. Knowledge brokering: ingredients and processes
3. Boundary objects
4. Framing and messaging
5. Dissemination, engagement and impact amplification
6. A tool for knowledge brokering
