Impact Collaboration Program

Towards an effective production and translation of knowledge into action

The Impact Collaboration Program (ICP) aims to foster collaboration between science and policy by providing seed funding and tailored services to kick-start, boost, scale-up, and/or sustain science-policy collaboration projects which explicitly:

  • Seek to generate impact;
  • Aim to bridge science, policy and practice;
  • Aim to co-create or co-design solutions.

Impact Collaboration Program, Geneva Science Policy Interface

Individuals, institutions and consortia are eligible to apply. They must propose a project that involves scientists/researchers, policy actors and/or practitioners from the Geneva ecosystem and can involve actors from civil society and the private sector.

Projects must be time-limited (between 2-18 months) and based on an explicit policy engagement strategy. They can have a variety of purposes and take diverse forms. For example:

  • Producing new knowledge that can support policy-making, implementation, and practice;
  • Developing guidelines or supporting evidence-informed programmes;
  • Establishing a new network or a new entity that tackles a given problem;
  • Building tools and accumulate know-how that supports the work of policy organizations.
